Community Health Partnership Workshops

In September 2018, HERC hosted their second Community Health Partnership workshop. Research that had received funding from HERC was presented during the first session of the workshop. The primary focus of the second session was to hear from community organizations on what barriers and obstacles are seen daily and how a partnership between their organizations and HERC could lead to insightful research.

In April 2017, HERC hosted a Community Health Partnership workshop at WSU Pullman attended by faculty and graduate students in health-related research. Sessions focused on nutrition, stress and health, community-based intervention, and other areas of WSU research strength.

Representatives from 6 community-based organizations presented ideas for research collaborations and externally funded projects that could significantly increase the groups’ abilities to fulfill their health-care missions:
